Sub-Users
Give teammates access to one RestoreCord server without sharing your login. Invite sub-users by email and choose exactly which permissions each of them gets.
Sub-users share one server with other RestoreCord accounts, without handing over the owner login. Access is scoped per server and per permission, and it never includes sub-user management itself. Sub-users are managed from the server's Extras tab.
Go to Servers › Manage › Sub-Users
Sub-users require a Premium plan or higher. On Free the tab is visible but locked.
The sub-users card
Each teammate appears with their avatar, username and the permissions they hold. The ⋮ menu on a row opens Edit to change that set, or Remove to revoke access.
The Manage Sub-Users card ("Share server access with other users.") has an Add Sub-User button and one row per teammate. For example:
| Sub-user | Permission chips |
|---|---|
mod-team | View Members, Pull Members |
ops-admin | Manage Settings, Manage Snapshots, Manage Firewall |
Removing a sub-user cuts their access to this server immediately. It does not touch their RestoreCord account or any other server they belong to.
Inviting someone
Invites go to an email address that already has a RestoreCord account — there is no signup-by-invite. Pick at least one permission, then send; the teammate stays in a pending state until they accept.
The Add Sub-User dialog ("Invite a RestoreCord user by their email address and assign permissions.") has an Email Address field (placeholder "Enter RestoreCord account email") and a Permissions picker where each option is a selectable card with a description, for example:
- View Members — Can view basic member information (username, avatar, country, verification date)
- View Member Details — Can view detailed member information (IP, email, location, device). Includes View Members.
- Pull Members — Can initiate member migrations
The dashboard refuses the invite when:
| Message | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Email address is required | Enter the teammate's RestoreCord account email |
| Please select at least one permission | An invite with no permissions would grant nothing |
Double-check the email address before you send.
Permissions
Grant the smallest set that lets the teammate do their job. Two permissions imply another, so you never need to tick both.
| Permission | Grants | Implies |
|---|---|---|
| Manage Settings | Server settings, except sub-user management and the owner-only actions below | — |
| View Members | Username, avatar, country and verification date. Search by username or Discord ID | — |
| View Member Details | IP, email, location and device. Search by IP address (Premium or higher) and email (Business or higher) | View Members |
| Pull Members | Starting member migrations and recovery pulls | — |
| Create Backups | Creating and viewing backups, but not restoring or deleting them | — |
| Manage Backups | Viewing, editing, deleting and restoring backups | Create Backups |
| Manage Firewall | Firewall rules and passwords | — |
View Member Details exposes IP addresses and emails, and Manage Backups can restore over a live server. Treat both as trusted-staff permissions.
Manage Settings can change IP Logging and Discord Webhook Logs, so only give it to trusted staff. Only the owner can link or change the Discord Server, change the Verified Role, set up Multi-server pulling, import members and delete the server.
