Hide restorecord.com from the Redirect

Change the redirect members see on Discord's authorization screen from restorecord.com to your own domain, a free domain, or discord.com.

When a member verifies, Discord's authorization screen shows the site it will send them back to. By default that is restorecord.com. Each bot can change it under Advanced Settings → Domain Configuration.

Go to Bot settings

Choose an option

OptionRedirect members seeVerify pageSetup
Defaultrestorecord.comrestorecord.comNone
Custom domainYour domain, or a free RestoreCord domainSame domain as the redirectDNS records for your own domain, none for a free domain
Discord redirectdiscord.comrestorecord.comTwo redirect URLs, no DNS

Each bot uses one option at a time. To switch, click Remove Domain first, then pick the new option.

Custom domain

Moves the verify page and the redirect to a domain of your choice, so members don't see restorecord.com anywhere. Pick a free domain or add your own, then add https://<your domain>/api/callback as the bot's redirect URL. See Custom Domain for the DNS records and setup steps.

Discord redirect

Discord's own authorization page becomes the redirect, so the authorization screen shows discord.com. Your verify page stays on restorecord.com. Use it when you want to hide the redirect without owning a domain.

Turn it on

In Advanced Settings → Domain Configuration, click Add Custom Domain, then Use discord.com redirect. It is active straight away, and the domain field shows discord.com with a Discord redirect badge.

Add both redirect URLs

In the Discord Developer Portal, open your bot's OAuth2 → Redirects and add both URLs, with your bot's client ID in place of <client ID>. The Complete Domain Setup steps show them filled in, and also list any old redirect URL you can remove.

https://restorecord.com/api/dc
https://discord.com/oauth2/authorize?client_id=<client ID>&redirect_uri=https://restorecord.com/api/dc&response_type=code&scope=identify+guilds.join&prompt=none

The second URL must match character for character. The bot's Redirect URL status shows Valid Redirect URL once both are added.

Republish your verification message

Run /setup in Discord so your verification message uses the new link. Until both redirect URLs are added, verification fails.

With the Discord redirect, members' email addresses (Access Email) and server lists (View Server Memberships) aren't collected. Use a custom domain if you need them.

For the full setting reference, see Discord redirect.

Go back to restorecord.com

Click Remove Domain under Advanced Settings → Domain Configuration. Then add https://restorecord.com/api/callback as the bot's redirect URL and run /setup again.
