Overview
RestoreCord provides two ways to restore your server:
- Migrations: Move verified members between Discord servers using the Pull Members feature
- Snapshots: Create and restore backups of your server structure including channels, roles, server settings, member roles, emojis, and messages (Business plan feature)
Snapshots backup your server structure, not the members themselves. To restore members, use the Pull Members feature or Migrations.
Using Migrations
The Migrations feature allows you to track and manage member transfers between servers.
Access Migrations
Go to the RestoreCord Dashboard and click Migrations in the sidebar.
View Migration History
Here you can see all past migrations, including:
- Source and destination servers
- Number of members transferred
- Migration status and timestamps
Start a New Migration
To migrate members to a new server, use the Pull Members feature from the Servers page. See the Pull Members Guide for detailed instructions.
Using Snapshots (Business Plan)
Snapshots are available on the Business plan. Upgrade your subscription to access this feature.
Snapshots allow you to create point-in-time backups of your Discord server structure that can be restored later. This includes channels, roles, server settings, member roles, emojis, and messages.
Access Snapshots
Go to the RestoreCord Dashboard and click Snapshots in the sidebar.
Create a Snapshot
From the Servers page, click Create Snapshot on the server you want to backup.
Snapshots capture your server structure (channels, roles, settings, emojis, messages) at the time of creation.
Restore from Snapshot
In the Snapshots section, find the backup you want to restore and click Restore. Select the destination server and confirm the restoration.
Restoring to a New Server
If your original Discord server was deleted or you need to move to a new server:
- Create a new Discord server or use an existing one
- Invite your RestoreCord bot to the new server
- Use Pull Members to migrate your verified members from RestoreCord to the new server
- Or restore from a Snapshot if you have one available (Business plan)
Make sure your bot has the necessary permissions in the destination server, including the ability to add members and assign roles.
